Already February? Gird yourselves, girls, Valentine's is like Black Friday for whores; the beginning of the rest of the year.
All those lonely little lambs, seeking respite and comfort from the cold, cruel outside. We might get a priest or two, just for flavour -- do you remember the year we had the priest in amidst, preaching temperance of the flesh?
And now there's a party. I can hardly wait, excitement can't be contained, and so on. | | Sunday, November 20th, 2011 | | 8:00 pm |

[Locked: the Gem]
[What is light, what is arching-curling feminine hand, knowing in public view is bolder, sketchier as kitten stretches out claws and flexes them experimentally, shakes off the boredom and tests herself against unknown quantity -- but it's more than that (of course it is: it always is, with women closeted together in small spaces, wings spread to show off for the clients but stealing more of one another's space). It is Another. Another potentially to take a little more of this territory-within-a-world managed and handled by one who is cool-inhuman when it comes to small skirmishes beneath her aegis. It is Another, to take what has been shaped, air-castle-construction of what is the hesitation before calling 'home', 'family', (more importantly, 'mine'). And so Vivi's fit of temper for all to see, smoothed out for presentation the way all emotion is, hides querulousness, fractious irritation of small girl not quite sure if her toy is being whisked out of her hands to new favourite]
New Girl: I don't know how it was done wherever you came from. But someone ought to have taught you, it isn't polite to take other people's things. | | Thursday, April 7th, 2011 | | 2:25 am |
